Do you need to be great at chess to teach it? No. Just like our students our chess coaches have a wide variety of skill and experience with the game. Our most successful chess coaches are people open to learning to play chess, are great at engaging elementary students, and like having fun.

Chess Coaches have the continual privilege of positively impacting the lives of children by teaching life skills through the game of chess. Coaches in our school clubs travel to schools in their area to deliver chess lessons to elementary aged students. The main goal for a coach is delivering engaging lessons in a fun, controlled environment.
At Chess4Life, a desire to help kids learn, grow, and develop is more important than chess skill. Chess Coach positions are a great opportunity for anyone interested in a rewarding work experience.
We currently have opportunities Seattle, Issaquah, and other Eastside locations.
