  • Responsibilities

    Join the team at the Doubletree by Hilton Charlotte City Center as our Chief Engineer. Responsible for leading, supporting, and directing all property engineering and maintenance department operations. Maintain property appearance, equipment, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical systems. This includes physical plant and fixtures to provide maximum profitability and operational efficiency. Responsibilities: A hotel chief engineer should have a solid understanding of the technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems. They should also have experience in planning maintenance operations. • Overseeing all maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements • Scheduling: Creating and prioritizing maintenance schedules • Supervising and delegating tasks to the maintenance team • Leading the installation of new equipment • Keeping proper records for inspections and audits • Ensuring there is enough inventory for reactive work orders • Performing daily and weekly property inspections • Providing training and mentorship to the engineering department • Responding to guest maintenance requests • Building good relationships with internal and external customers • Setting short-term and long-term project goals • Negotiating with clients and vendors • Compiling reports for the board of directors Qualifications: • Prior hotel engineering experience required • Hotel engineering supervisory experience • Strong understanding of PM Programs • Technical understanding of HVAC, MEP, and Carpentry
