    Children's Dental FunZone is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a background in the Dental or Healthcare Industry to lead our financial operations and drive our strategic growth. With 17 locations and expanding, we are committed to delivering exceptional pediatric dental care. The ideal candidate will bring deep financial expertise and a solid understanding of dental operations to support our mission.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's DSO's growth objectives and growth initiatives
    • Analyze operational KPIs specific to dental practices (e.g., chair utilization rates, revenue per patient, production per patient per payor type etc.)
    • Structure deals to minimize risk and maximize ROI
    • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
    • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry regulations
    • Monitor dental insurance reimbursements and patient payment systems; understand and analyze Account Receivable collection patterns
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify growth opportunities and investment strategies
    • Manage tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements in DSO and healthcare and dentistry.
    • Manage relationships with banks, lenders, auditors, external stakeholders, suppliers, labs, and other partners crucial to dental operations.
    • Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to executive directors based on financial analysis.
    • Implement and optimize financial systems, tools, and technologies tailored to dental operations.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CPA highly preferred).
    • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
    • Experience with optimizing billing, collections, and cash flow processes within healthcare settings.
    • Understanding of the DSO structure, including how it supports affiliated practices with services like HR, IT, team members, doctors, and finance.
    • Familiarity with industry benchmarks such as average revenue per procedure, cost per patient acquisition, and practice profitability.
    • Deep understanding of dental insurance plans, fee-for-service (FFS) models, and patient financing options.
    • Detailed understanding of cash and accrual profit and loss statements.
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, including financial, operational, and clinical staff.
    • Strong communication skills for interacting with practice owners, board members, and investors.
    • Experience translating complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with tools like Dentrix Ascend and its financial reporting capabilities is preferred.
