Summary: The Chief Financial Officer’s function is to ensure consistent financial operations across all Multi-Unit Operations (MUOs). Work with leadership and cross functional members of the management team to develop financial strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, recommendations, direction and establishing functional objectives in line with the overall business strategy.
Ensure the culture of the franchise is adopted and maintained within all multi-unit operations.
Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the Executive Management Team.
Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting key performance metrics (KPMs).
Provide stakeholder communications and investor relations.
Ensure that financial plans align with organizational goals.
Create and monitor an annual budget.
Analyze and forecast compensations.
Provide year-round tax planning.
Manage commercial banking relationships to facilitate an appropriate credit resource under highly competitive terms.
Fuel franchise growth through procurement of funds through borrowing from financial institutions.
Interface with banks and lessors, outside audit firms, liability and casualty insurance agents, collection agencies, and credit card companies.
Supervise the preparation of interim and annual financial statements, along with the monthly creation of budget to actual P&L and explanation of variances. Supervise the preparation of monthly and quarterly P&L based reporting.
Analyze and earn the highest possible risk-adjusted return on assets and return on capital.
Analyze insurance requirements and current policies to obtain the proper coverage at competitive rates.
Manage the franchise’s cash balance and working capital, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory
Carry out the issuing of any debt, managing investments, and handle other liquidity-related decisions.
Assess, analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
Oversee all HR operations by coordinating with payroll, recruitment, and HR managers
Coordinate with external service providers on an as needed basis to stay updated on employment laws
Perform employee reviews and develop corrective action plans if needed.
Cultivate and provide opportunities for rising talent within the organization.

Necessary Experience and Skill Set:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
Proven experience in an executive role
Must have Accrual Accounting experience
Experience with strategic planning and business development
Excellent leadership and organizational skills
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
