We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our dedicated leadership team. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership & Strategy: Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, cost containment, and revenue cycle management to ensure fiscal strength.
- Mentorship & Team Development: Lead and support a finance team of four, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Audit & Compliance: Navigate the annual audit process and maintain financial transparency with the board and leadership team.
- Process Modernization: Spearhead the transition from paper-based financial systems to automated, efficient solutions.
- Strategic Growth: Play a key role in the successful launch of the Fraser hospital, ensuring financial sustainability and long-term success.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, board members, and external partners, including our affiliation with Common Spirit.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a financial leader with healthcare experience who is passionate about making a difference in a rural setting. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong healthcare finance expertise, with experience in critical access hospitals preferred but not required.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of building trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive, strategic mindset, able to balance big-picture financial goals with day-to-day operational needs.
- A passion for rural healthcare, with a desire to be actively involved in the community.
- A love for the mountain lifestyle, embracing all the outdoor and cultural opportunities that Grand County has to offer.
What You Can Expect in Your First Year
- Successfully lead and complete the current annual audit.
- Maintain a strong cash position during the Fraser Hospital opening.
- Build strong relationships with the board, leadership team, and staff.
