    THIS IS AN IN OFFICE ROLE IN ALBANY, NY. NO REL0CATION ASSISTANCE WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THIS ROLE. The Colwell Law Group is an established family matrimonial law firm with strategic growth locations in New York, including Albany, Saratoga, Syracuse, and Rochester. We are currently looking for a Chief Financial Officer to oversee all aspects of the firm's financial operations and functions. As an essential part of the firm's management team, you will assess financial risks and opportunities and oversee and manage the financial team. You will help to set and track financial goals, objectives, and budgets that will lead to the overall financial success of the law firm. Responsibilities: • Develops financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services, preparing growth plans, and directing staff. • Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; and accumulating capital to fund expansion. • Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans. • Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community. • Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. • Supervises the financial reporting and budgeting team. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, master's degree, or MBA. CPA creditials highly sought over but not necessary. • Experience in a senior management position. • Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting. • Proven negotiation skills. • Experience with budget management, public accounting, and cash flow. • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust. • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate. • Excellent leadership skills along with positive, effective communication skills • Must be able to pass a background check and have a valid NYS driver license. Compensation: $125,000 - $145,000 plus quarterly bonuses
