    Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

As your medical home, they also track labs, orders, referrals, and hospital visits to coordinate care in a timely manner.

    The Position: The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is a vital leadership position that focuses on clinical and organizational responsibilities. The primary focus of our client is to provide high quality, affordable and accessible health care services to patients. The CMO is vital in ensuring that these services are provided, and it is expected that 25% of the time will be engaged in providing clinical services to patients and 75% of the time in an administrative function. The client offers the following salary and benefits:

    • $240,000 - $250,000+ Depending on Experience

    Requirements:

    • Medical Degree (MD or DO) Family Physician or Dual (Internist/Pedi)
    • Board Certification
    • Current Licensure by the North Carolina Board of Registration in Medicine
    • Certified in ACLS or CPR/AED
    • Min. Five Years (5) of experience caring for all members of the family unit

    Responsibilities:

    • Planning and directing all clinical medical services of the organization
    • Responsible for hiring physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and behavioral health providers
    • Sets the standards of professional performance for medical staff and is responsible for working with the Providers and Clinical leadership to ensure that performance expectations are understood.
    • Works closely with the CEO and COO to ensure that all services are provided at the standard of care and ensures that each Provider is working to meet the Health Center’s mission and quality initiatives.
    • Will act as the legal supervising provider to family practice providers.
    • Responsible for clinical staff development, including establishing a plan that addresses the need for mentorship, staff care, and best practices.
    • Responsible for working with the board and staff to develop and communicate the Health Center’s vision/plans for improving the health of the people living in the target area, including attending and participating in the monthly board of directors meeting.
    • Provide leadership for the development of policies and procedures designed to guide clinical and operational activities, ensuring that the Health Center operates consistently and with high quality.
    • Effectively communicates with the leadership team, ensuring each member has adequate information to fulfill respective duties.
    • Responsible for participating as a senior-level manager in developing operating plans and providing leadership as appropriate toward meeting those plans and objectives.
    • Responsible for utilizing analytical tools designed to improve clients’ clinical and service performance.
