SUMMARY
The Chief Operating Officer for Center for Transforming Lives assists with the development of and oversees implementation of the agency and departmental operating plans, oversees technological advancements in alignment with the annual and long-term operating needs of CTL, and implements mission advancement community partnerships. Working collaboratively with the CEO, the COO oversees research and evaluation, programs, fundraising, communication and human resources leadership. Working collaboratively with the CEO and CFO, the COO oversees the advancement of the public and private funding strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To fulfill the strategic framework for CTL, the COO works with the CEO, CFO and other executives to develop and execute annual operating plans for the agency and individual departments.
Working collaboratively with other executives, the COO identifies barriers to fulfillment of annual operating plans, the necessary resources to overcome those barriers and executes completion.
Coordination of the compilation and distribution of quarterly and annual performance reports on the annual operating plans for research and evaluation, programs, fundraising, communications, and human resources for use by the executive team and board of directors. Oversees improvement efforts as needed.
Overseeing technology advancements for areas of oversight, including building key performance indicators into existing databases, develops and supports the execution of plans for maximizing current and future data systems for the purpose of performance efficacy and efficiency.
Providing guidance and support as needed for financial and human resource data systems, particularly for integration of systems when necessary.
Handles logistical implementation of mission advancement partnerships, with a particular focus on community level intervention partnerships.
Works with CFO to develop and lead implementation of the agency’s funding strategy for growth to increase community impact.
Oversees the agency’s policies, procedures and plans necessary to ensure high quality operations and successful maintenance of national accreditation.
Supervises Chief Program Officer, Director for Research and Evaluation, Chief Development Officer, Director for Communication, Director for Economic Opportunity, and Director for Human Resources, including hiring, managing, coaching and disciplinary actions as needed.
Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, ensuring diverse perspectives are valued.
Leads organizational change initiatives, ensuring that employees are supported throughout transition.
Drives employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in business, social work, public health or equivalent required
Eight to ten years of executive management experience required, including oversight of at least two levels of management.
Successfully led at least three major, distinct projects for an organization.
Experience with Salesforce, Tableau or similar data systems required.
