    Worthy Insurance Group is a young independent insurance agency that is seeking a Chief Operating Officer. Worthy has an established book of business and existing relationships upon which to build. Independent agency commercial technical expertise and confidence is a must.     Chief Operating Officer (COO):

    Partnering with the CEO and executive team, the Chief Operating Officer will have overarching responsibility for all day-to-day operations. This is a newly created role due to agency growth and expansion which will focus on strategic planning, sharing your commercial lines knowledge and expertise and the implementation of policies and procedures. Our new COO will have the ability to collaborate with agency leadership to define their role, which will have a direct and lasting impact on the future success of our business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Contributes to, develops, and implements agency marketing plan as well as vision for the agency.

    Manages tech projects with insurtech and AI to ensure agency’s tech growth

    Possesses a good working knowledge of procedures, processes for all disciplines.

    Has a working knowledge of the agency management software (Applied Epic).

    Improve daily organization and workflows to ensure maximum operational efficiency.

    Assist in recruiting, profiling, and selecting talent to build and maintain the organization.

    Ensures regulatory compliance of the agency.

    Monitor production and monthly goals for all producers.

    Fosters and maintains relationships with carriers and brokers.

    Responsible for client retention activities and engagement strategies.

    Collects and analyzes data for implications regarding budget, project and/or program initiatives.

    Oversees, implements, and refines agency budget, proforma financials, and company operations to ensure company targets for revenue and profitability are met.

    Oversees education and can provide coaching, training, and development programs to increase staff capability and agency expertise.

    Maintains and builds trusted relationships with key customers, partners, vendors, management, and stakeholders.

    Supports the CEO and executive team in all aspects of the business and operations.

    Skills:

    Preferred

    5 + years in commercial lines management with high levels of sales, operational and financial knowledge.

    Previous experience as a department head, team leader or senior level position within an agency.

    Property & Casualty agency management system preferably Applied Epic.

    Superior negotiation and presentation skills with strong entrepreneurial spirit.

    Master’s Degree and either CIC or CPCU designation.

    Required

    Bachelor’s Degree and either CIC or CPCU designation

    Strong insurance knowledge for commercial lines of business such as general liability, property, worker’s compensation, professional liability, and cyber.

    Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Creative problem-solving skills along with exceptional time management and attention to detail.

    Illinois Property & Casualty license.
