Position Details
📍 Main Office Location: 15300 Devonshire St, Mission Hills, CA 91345 (Must live in the San Fernando Valley) ⏳ Commitment: 6-month minimum ⏰ Hours: Part-time (25-35+ hrs/week) must be flexible to transition to full-time 💰 Compensation: $50,000 - $79,000
What You’ll Do
🔹 Assessing Developmental Progress
Evaluating children’s cognitive, motor, social-emotional, and language development.
Identifying developmental delays or concerns through assessments.
🔹Creating Individualized Support Plans
Developing intervention strategies tailored to each child’s unique needs.
Collaborating with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to implement effective approaches.
🔹Providing Direct Interventions
Using play-based and evidence-based techniques to support skill development.
Guiding parents and caregivers on best practices for fostering growth at home.
🔹Collaborating with Other Professionals
Working with therapists (speech, occupational, physical), educators, and healthcare providers.
Coordinating services to ensure a comprehensive support system for the child.
🔹Educating and Supporting Families
Teaching parents how to support their child’s learning and development.
Providing resources, strategies, and emotional support to caregivers.
🔹Monitoring and Documenting Progress
Tracking developmental milestones and adjusting intervention plans as needed.
Maintaining detailed records and reports for families and professionals.
🔹Advocating for Early Childhood Development
Raising awareness about the importance of early intervention.
Helping families navigate services, funding, and educational resources.
What You Bring
🎓 Associate’s / Bachelor’s degree in Child Development or 24+ units in Child Development coursework Minimum 2 years of experience working with children (ages 0-5). 📝 Strong clinical documentation skills (writing samples may be required). 💻 Basic Knowledge of Google Docs & Google Sheets. 🚗 Reliable transportation. 🌎 Bilingual skills preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Frequent bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
Quick mobility to ensure child safety.
Clear vision and hearing for supervision.
Ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations.
