    Job Description

    This Position is Contingent on Contract Award.

    This position is in support of a proposed repatriation initiative. The purpose of the facilities is to provide comprehensive care for migrant individuals who are awaiting reunification or repatriation. This care will begin as soon as each occupant arrives at the facility and will last until their arranged departure. The comprehensive care includes but is not limited to initial screening and exams, identifications of prior conditions and allergies, day to day care of routine, urgent and emergent medical conditions.

    International SOS is looking for a Child Welfare Program Coordinator. The coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing programs designed to protect and promote the well-being of immigrant youth and their families. This role involves coordinating services tailored to the unique needs of immigrant communities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and collaborating with community organizations to enhance resources and support for at-risk immigrant children and their families.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement programs specifically aimed at supporting the welfare of immigrant children and their families, ensuring culturally relevant services are provided.
    • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including social services, community organizations, and schools, to ensure comprehensive support for immigrant families.
    • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of child welfare programs for immigrant children, making recommendations for improvements as necessary.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to child welfare and immigrant services.
    • Provide training and resources to staff and community partners on best practices for working with immigrant families and understanding their unique challenges.
    • Advocate for the needs and rights of immigrant children within the child welfare system, helping to ensure they have access to necessary services.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities, outcomes, and compliance to support transparency and accountability.
    • Conduct outreach initiatives to engage immigrant communities and raise awareness about available child welfare resources.
    • Collaborate with legal aid organizations to assist immigrant families with issues related to immigration and its impact on child welfare.
    • Stay informed about current trends, policies, and research related to child welfare and immigration to inform program development and implementation.

    Required Skills and Knowledge

    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the past three years.
    • Relevant experience in child welfare, social services, or a related area, typically ranging from two to five years, including experience with program management or coordination.
    • Understanding of child welfare laws, regulations, and best practices, as well as issues related to child protection and family support services.
    • Familiarity with the specific needs and challenges faced by diverse populations, including immigrant communities, and the ability to deliver culturally appropriate services.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with families, stakeholders, and community partners, as well as for preparing reports and presentations.
    • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with children, families, and community organizations.
    • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple projects and ensure efficient program operations.
    • Commitment to advocating for the rights and needs of children and families within the child welfare system.
    • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records, writing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
    • Experience working with US military healthcare regulations and standards of care preferred.
    • Experience working in austere environments preferred.

    Experience Preferred

    • Experience working contract programs preferred.

    Education Required

    • A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, public health, criminology, or a related field preferred.
    • Relevant certifications in child welfare, social work, or program management may be preferred or required.
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
    • Current Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Certification preferred.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
    • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred.

    Physical Demands

    • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
    • Will involve assisting in the lifting and moving of patients.
    • May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 35 lbs.

    Other Special Qualifications

    • Must be a US Citizen or possess a permanent resident card.
    • Current MRPT Clearance preferred.

    Additional Information

    Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.

    Compensation| Min: $22hr Max: $61hr
