    Job Summary

    We are looking for a qualified Child and Family Social Worker to join our team! You will be crucial in case management and developing individual treatment plans in collaboration with youth/children/non-minor dependant, Resource families and County Social Workers

    Responsibilities

    Orientations and training of potential resource family home applicants.

    Evaluation and assessment of the application of the potential resource family home.

    Evaluation and assessment of a child for placement and continued placement in a resource family home or licensed foster family home.

    Placement of the child in the resource family home or licensed foster family home.

    Development and updating of the Progress note, quarterly needs, services plan, incident reports, and other time-sensitive documentation and dissemination to appropriate channels.

    Supervision / Visitation of the placement of the child including direct contact with the child and the resource families or foster family home licensee(s) in accordance with DSS, tile 22 policies and procedures.

    Provision of support services to resource families or foster family home licensees assigned to the social worker.

    Meet the core competency requirements.

    Familiarity with the CPS and Probation System.

    Familiarity with the Resource Family Approval Process

    Knowledge of the FFA Interim Licensing Standard Regulations (FFA ILS)

    Familiarity with the comprehensive assessment (SAFE Written Report).

    Assist in the transportation of foster children when the need arises.

    Oversee support groups and other agency events

    Attend weekly staff meetings both office and social work-related.

    Adhere to all legal, ethical, and professional standards of practice.

    Serve as a liaison between families, children, schools, and social services agencies.

    Respond to difficult cases of child abuse or emergency.

    Maintain contact/communication with county staff and other clinicians who work with children on one’s caseload.

    Monitor supervised visits and calls

    Attend court hearings and provide testimony about clients.

    Attend TDM (team decision meetings) and CFT (child and family team) as well as attend providers' meetings.

    Attend training and workshops for continuing education.

    Social work personnel shall be responsible for the following

    Training of potential resource families as to the purposes, program methods, and goals of LifeCare Coalition Outreach, and to the State regulations governing our agency’s policies and procedures.

    Development and updating of the Needs and Services Plan for each foster child placed in their caseload.

    Supervision of the placement of the child, including face-to-face weekly counseling and/or therapy with the child and the resource parent(s).

    Provision of support services to resource families assigned to the social worker.

    Maintaining regular contact with the County Case Managers

    Provide On-Call services on weekends and after office hours.

    Build relationships with clients and all those associated with them.

    Qualifications

    A Master's Degree from an accredited graduate school, in social work or social welfare, marriage & family therapy, marriage, family and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology, social psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology, or equivalent education.

    California Board of Behavioral Health registration: AMFT, ACSW, LMFT or LCSW accepted

    Bilingual in English and Spanish required

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Ability to work closely and develop strong relationships with diverse individuals.

    Effective time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    Basic computer skills.

    Able to travel to program sites.

    Salary Starting pay $60,000 based on years of experience.
