TITLE: Assistant Cash Manager
DIV/DEPT: F&O/Treasury
LOCATION: Based in Richmond, VA (IO) - No relocation
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports to Assistant Treasurer
SUMMARY
ChildFund International’s Treasury a high performing and nationally recognized department (Winner of the 2014 Grand Pinnacle Award from the AFP) is seeking an Assistant Cash Manager. The position is a growth oriented position; ultimately designed to prepare the hired candidate for a Manager level role (in approximately 3 years). The ideal candidate should learn all of ChildFund’s cash management stations over time; develop a strong working relationship with the team; learn the organization’s financial and payment processing methods, cycles and systems and work cooperatively with multiple departments (especially Fundraising and IT). Vigorous training will be provided during the first year on organizational structures, cycles, systems, policies, risks, culture and methods – but prior knowledge and expertise of core cash management are a prerequisite for this job and the candidate needs to possess those skills (equivalent to a CCM or CTP).
The position’s standard (routine) responsibilities and needed skills at the time of hire are the ability to prepare of daily cash position, fund vendors and operating divisions using electronic fund transfers; maintaining short term and long-term forecasts, executing foreign currency trades, short-term/overnight investments, posting cash activities into s general ledger/treasury workstation and upkeep of banking relationships.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:
Bachelor degree in a business, economics or related field or bachelor degree in an unrelated field with a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Certified Cash Manager (CCM) designation.
CTP or CCM or committed to attaining the CTP designation within 1-year.
8 or more years of financial experience from an organization that is mid-size ($100 million in revenue) or larger.
Familiarity with payment systems and experience with Credit Card, check, cash, ACH, handling methods and PCI standards.
Experience in actively using online banking platforms
Strong computer skills, with familiarity in using Microsoft Office suite applications (particularly Excel, Excel Pivot-tables, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Knowledge of Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements by global banks.
Self-motivated, eager to learn, able to problem-solve with strong written and oral communication skills.
PREFERRED:
Experience from a truly global organization (A company with some non-US/non-Canadian operations)
International treasury experience instead of other financial experience.
Experience working on a Treasury Workstation System
Some supervisorial experience
Past global NGO experience
