A childcare attendant is responsible for overseeing and caring for children while their parents or guardians use the gym facilities. This role ensures that children are safely entertained and engaged in a supportive environment while their caregivers participate in fitness activities. Key Responsibilities: • Supervision: Monitor and ensure the safety of children in the designated play area or childcare space. • Activity Planning: Organize and engage children in age-appropriate games, crafts, or activities that promote fun and development. • Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment, addressing any potential hazards promptly. • Behavior Management: Use positive reinforcement techniques to manage behavior and encourage social skills and cooperation among children. • Communication: Inform parents or guardians about their child's behavior, activities, and any issues that arise during their visit. • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, administer first aid if necessary, and follow gym protocols for health and safety. Skills and Qualifications: • Childcare Experience: Previous experience working with children or in a childcare setting is preferred. • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and gym staff. • Creativity and Enthusiasm: Skills in creating engaging activities and a positive attitude to keep children entertained. • Patience and Responsibility: Patience and the ability to manage multiple children and situations calmly and effectively. • Certification: CPR and first aid are required. Additional qualifications in early childhood education are a plus.
