    Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for an experienced Breaker/ Floater with a qualifying letter to join our team! We are looking for someone who can work a closing shift from 9:00 to 6:00 Monday through Friday and is comfortable working with infants and young toddlers. You will be responsible for implementing the lesson plan while the teacher is on break or vacation, maintaining cleanliness in each room, and keeping a positive attitude while loving each child in your care.

    ** You will need a North Carolina qualifying letter, recent TB test, and physical before your first day.

    Pay starts between $16.00 - $18.50 based on education and experience. On-going pay raises for all employees are awarded based on meeting program standards and expectations.     Benefits:

    All Employees will accrue Personal Time (PTO) at the rate of 3.8 hours earned for every 40 hours worked. PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.

    Sick Pay will be accrued at 2.6 hours for every 40 hours worked. A maximum of 48 hours will be applied to each employee's policy and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.

    Holiday pay will be paid based on your individual average hours worked and be paid to each employee after their 60-day probationary period.

    $100 monthly bonus for perfect attendance

    Responsibilities:

    Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for children in your care

    Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children

    Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem

    Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments

    Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).

    Track children's progress and report to parents

    Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche.

    Collaborate with other educators.

    Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

    Desired Candidate

    Experience working in a licensed childcare facility

    Qualifying letter (Needed before the first day)

    TB test and Physical

    Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

    Excellent communication and instructional skills

    Ability to act as a mediator between children

    Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable

    Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
