Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for an Afternoon Float to join our team! We are looking for someone comfortable working with all ages, mainly in our toddler classroom.

Responsibilities:

Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children

Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem

Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments

Set up tabletop activities and other fun activities to keep children engaged

Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Properly shut down the classroom that you are in. This would include vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, cleaning the bathroom and changing the table, mopping, sweeping, doing laundry, and anything else that is needed.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Experience working in a licensed childcare facility is a plus!

Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods

Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

Excellent communication and instructional skills

Ability to act as a mediator between children

Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable

Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
