POSITION OVERVIEW:
To support the ministries of the church by providing childcare during assigned events. This role includes day-of supervision of children for your assigned events as needed. The Event Childcare Provider is responsible for providing a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for children during assigned childcare events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Event Childcare Provider is a part-time, hourly position with varying hours per week. The work week is from Sunday through Saturday. The Event Childcare Provider will participate in scheduled hours that have been planned by the Kids’ Child Care Administrator to best facilitate the effectiveness of the ministry.
This position is responsible for providing childcare that can vary in size and ages depending on the number of children scheduled for childcare.
Specific Responsibilities
Facilitate care for children that have been placed in the room following defined procedures for the specific age(s) placed in your assigned room
Follow all child drop-off and pick up procedures during the scheduled event.
Monitor attendance for your assigned room and report attendance to the Supervisor following the event.
Monitor the classroom cabinets and storage areas and report to your supervisor when attention is needed so that the Kids area remains properly stocked, organized and neat in appearance.
Follow set-up and closing procedures for your assigned classroom(s)
Partner with fellow child care providers to ensure the best care and management of the children placed in your care.
Participate as requested in staff meetings.
Contribute in attitude and actions as a team player with the Kids Ministry staff and entire Church of the King staff.
The Event Childcare Provider reports directly to the Child Care Administrator (or their assignee).

Excellent communication skills both orally and written

Able to prioritize and multitask; must be self-starter and have a strong work ethic
Able to work with diverse personalities and interests in a professional and Christian manner
Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
