    Are you studying to be an artist or a teacher? Are you looking for a fun and rewarding part-time job that helps you build your teaching experience?

    Kidcreate Studio is an art studio just for children. In addition to our two studio locations, we also hold classes and events at local elementary schools and community centers throughout the South Orange County area. We are currently looking for great candidates to fill imediately available lead teacher roles in our after-school classes.

    We are seeking high-energy, outgoing individuals with experience working with children to join our team. While no formal teaching experience is required, you must have a background in engaging with kids—whether through art programs, camps, childcare or other group settings. We provide comprehensive teacher training to help you succeed in the classroom and build confidence in your teaching skills.

    This is an awesome opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive and fun environment!

    Hours would be Monday-Thursday, teaching one class per afternoon (2-hour shift, approximately 1:30-3:30) and additional hours on Mondays for prep and training time. Exact number of hours/days per week is somewhat flexible and can be adjusted to fit the needs of the right candidate. Whether you are a teacher or studying to become a teacher, our mobile studio is a great oopportunity for those who enjoy variety in their work and love introducing children to the wonderful world of ART!

    What you'll do

    Prepare for classes and projects (using provided curriculum)

    Lead classes for children ages 5-11

    Interact with clients, parents and caregivers

    Maintain materials and supplies

    What is required

    Must be 18 years or older

    Willing to submit to a DOJ background check

    Valid drivers license, auto insurance and reliable transportation

    Able to lift and carry 10-20 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally

    Availability on a at least 2 weekday afternoons

    Availability at now through the end of May - option to continue in the summer

    What we're looking for

    Experience working with children in groups

    Enthusiastic, patient, and outgoing personalities

    Interest in a teaching career

    Some college education (graduated or in progress) - ideally in teaching or art

    Reliability

    Comfortable working in various environments
