KidStrong Summerlin is rapidly growing, and we're looking for talented, enthusiastic Coaches
Role and Schedule Details:
We are looking for a coach with athletic or coaching experience who ideally has experience coaching kids ages 12 months to 11 years old.
KidStrong Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from the evolving monthly curriculum
Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding “the why” behind the KidStrong curriculum
Our classes run typically weekdays, 9 am -11 am and evenings until 7 pm, and weekends are typically from 8 am through lunch/noon.
Opportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on studio needs.
Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours.
Responsibilities:
Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old
Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at the beginning of class
Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor
Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
Ensure cleanliness of the center, including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shift
Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers
Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month's curriculum
Qualifications:
Passion for working with kids!
Prior experience coaching kids is a plus
Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics a plus
CPR certified (or willingness to become so)
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
Self-starter who just gets a job done
