Are you a dedicated and experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant with a passion for orthodontics? We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Support: Assist the orthodontist & our pediatric dentists during various orthodontic & restorative procedures, including but not limited to, the application and removal of braces, fitting of orthodontic appliances, adjusting wires, placing resins, and placing SSC.
Patient Care: Prepare patients for treatments, ensuring they are comfortable and well informed throughout their visit.
Radiography: Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as prescribed by our dentists.
Sterilization and Disinfection: Maintain a sterile and clean working environment by adhering to infection control protocols and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
Records Management: Accurately record patient treatment information, update patient charts, medical histories, and maintain detailed notes on each patient’s progress.
Patient Education: Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care guidelines to ensure optimal results.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage supplies and materials, ensuring the practice is always well-stocked.
Qualifications:
Orthodontic Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in orthodontics is (Preferred)
Radiography License: Current dental radiography license. (REQUIRED)
Expanded Functions: (REQUIRED)
Coronal Polishing/Caries Prevention: (Preferred)
CPR Certification: Current CPR certification.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using dental software and digital radiography systems.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
