Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Position: Children's Operations Coordinator Reports to: Children’s Ministry Director Status: Full-Time (40 hours/week) Classification: Exempt
Description Summary The ideal Children’s Operations Coordinator is someone with a fun and magnetic personality that enjoys working with others to make an impact for Jesus. This person would be responsible for the leadership and care of multiple volunteer teams that will champion our check-in processes as well as our operational management processes for the Children’s Ministries. It is imperative that the Coordinator maintain a vibrant relationship with Christ and that focus on Him is central in the ministry. It is also important that the Coordinator embrace and create an atmosphere of equipping ministry partners to serve the kingdom. We are looking for someone who embraces our overall vision of Children’s Ministry and desires to help it grow and be the best it can be. We desire to hire an individual who is a humble servant of God that loves to work (and play) hard. We want an individual who understands that getting things done through others is way more productive than doing it all themself. *Note: This position requires PV Membership.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and disciple the teams to grow in community and in knowledge of their positions
Provide ongoing recruiting, training of these teams and celebrate their wins.
Provide opportunities for growth and feedback from the teams on a consistent basis.
Core Volunteer Teams Include (but are not limited to):
Guest Services Teams - Own the guest services process and fine tune as needed to ensure ultimate customer service experience for new and regular attendees for all PVKids ministry programming and events.
Ensure that customer service is the top priority.
Train the teams on the specifics of the guest services systems.
Champion our first time guest experience ensuring that each first time guest family feels welcomed and cared for. Maintain a follow up process that feels personal for the family and provides needed data for the church.
Regular contact with the IT Director to ensure consistent communication, troubleshoot issues, report problems, etc.
Maintain proper equipment setup and ongoing care.
Ensure that pre-service ministry partner huddles are taking place for discipleship, training, and celebrating.
Maintain recording/tracking/reporting of attendance data matrices.
Operational Management Teams - Own the process and fine tune as needed to ensure consistent operational management and preparedness for all PVKids ministry programming and events.
Meeting with members of the Children’s Ministry Team in advance of ministry to ensure smooth transitions and preparedness for each ministry setting.
Ordering, tracking and securing of supplies.
Maintenance of appropriate quantities of supplies in ministry spaces.
Preparedness of ministry spaces before and after ministry that demonstrates that the space is “ready for company”.
Ensure that the ministry spaces provide an ease and functionality that meet the needs of kids and their families.
Assist with Children’s Ministry special events to provide leadership and overall operational support.
Provide support to the Upward Coordinator for ministry needs. This includes preparing and purchasing for end of season celebrations, assisting with end of season celebration days, overall operations support, etc

Qualifications / Job Skills
Passion and commitment to lead people to a meaningful relationship with Christ.
Must be a member of PV in good standing, affirming the statement of faith and church covenant
Ability to attract, attain and retain good ministry partners that are passionate about providing a first class experience for our kids and families.
Good communication skills both written and oral with differing people and personality types
Should have a working knowledge of various computer applications including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Planning Center Online, etc.
Ability to lead others, understanding and taking into account their learning styles
Must have strong administrative skills and be an avid planner and implementer
Sense of calling for the position and a good fit for the ministry Education / Experience
4 year college degree required
Minimum of 2 years experience serving in ministry, preferably in Leadership
