Position: Chinese Language Teacher

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated teachers to deliver beginner and intermediate-level Chinese language classes to students aged 8 and up. This is a remote, part-time position where all lesson plans and teaching materials are provided. If you love working with children and want to make a real difference in their learning journey, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Engaging, Interactive Classes: Deliver small-group Chinese language lessons (up to 8 students per class) via Zoom.
• Foster Student Engagement: Bring high energy and enthusiasm to each lesson, ensuring students stay motivated and actively participate.
• Create a Fun, Positive Learning Environment: Use creative teaching strategies, games, and multimedia tools to make each class enjoyable and educational.
• Adapt to Student Needs: Tailor lessons to meet the needs of individual students, ensuring they are supported and challenged at the right level.
• Grading & Reporting: Write grades and brief reports after each class (paid time provided for these tasks).
• Ongoing Support: Participate in regular training and receive feedback to continuously improve your teaching practice.

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
• Bachelor's degree (required); advanced degree preferred but not required.
• Experience teaching children, especially in language instruction.
• Must have a reliable computer, stable internet connection, and familiarity with Zoom.
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and able to keep children engaged in an online environment.

Work Hours:

• 7–15 hours per week, primarily after school hours and weekend hours in the Eastern & Pacific Time Zone.
• Flexible work schedule, allowing you to teach from the comfort of your own home.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $15–$20 per hour.
• Paid training and time for grading/report writing.

Additional Information:

• Start Date: Teachers are expected to begin in January 2025.
• Employment Type: Part-time employee position.
