We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Medical Biller t to join our orthopedic, pain management and chiropractic business. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of clerical expertise, technical proficiency, and strong interpersonal skills to support our dynamic team and ensure efficient operations. Please note that AthenaHealth knowledge is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

Utilize AthenaHealth Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems proficiently.

Knowledgeable in various processes within the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Department, including follow-up, cash receipts, customer service and denial management.

Access and navigate various payer portals for claims reconsideration and processing.

Monitor patient account details to identify and resolve billing-related issues.

Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.

Apply knowledge of Medical Terminology, ICD-10, and CPT Codes accurately.

Understand and execute collections processes and procedures efficiently.

Qualifications:

AthenaHealth experience of two (2) years

At least two (2) years of experience in a medical billing setting.

Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare insurance, collections, and Explanation of Benefits (EOB).

Experience in healthcare billing and a solid understanding of Revenue Cycle operational workflows.

Proficiency in basic math and professional telephone etiquette. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.

Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
