Job Summary: Pairings Cigar Bar, a unique brick & mortar cigar bar and retail store in Media, PA is currently expanding their business to include online (e-commerce) sales. Appreciated by our customers for its laid back, yet sophisticated style, Pairings is well known for its excellent customer service. We strive to give all customers the ultimate cigar experience whenever they visit our shop. We are looking to refine that experience in our retail establishment while building an online presence with our e-commerce site.

In order to continue to develop our business and refine our standards, Pairings is looking for a web-savvy, detail-oriented individual with a passion for cigars, storytelling, and customer service to support the development of our e-commerce business and reinforce the further refinement of our customers’ in-store experience.

Working with the owners and the General Manager, you will assist in all facets of our developing e-commerce business while having the opportunity to engage in the brick & mortar side of the business as well.

The position requires onsite work in the retail store, including bartending & cigar sales. Some remote work related to the online platform is possible.

The person in this position must be manager level RAMP and Serv Safe certified. Pairings will reimburse for the cost of the training. This position is full time.

Salary: commensurate with experience E-Commerce Responsibilities • Packing, and shipping orders. • Building the online store with new products. • Interacting with customers via email and telephone to help drive sales and address iissues. • Processing orders on our website and in our retail management systems • Working with one of the owners, to develop strategies and execute initiatives for ecommerce revenue growth. • Supporting marketing initiatives (email, social media, etc.) to enhance our online and mail-order business under the guidance of owner.

Retail Operations Responsibilities • Responsible for acquiring in-depth knowledge of the Clover Retail Point-of-Service system to ensure that Pairings is optimally using all offered features. • Responsible for the ongoing merchandising of the cigars and accessories. • Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the menus – both online & print. • Deliver the Pairings experience to customers coming into the cigar bar. This includes but is not limited to helping customers select their cigars and preparing orders for drinks and food. Use Clover system to ring up sales. Maintain routine tasks to ensure bar cleanliness.

Position Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent; • Proficiency with computers and programs such as Microsoft Office software, Google Suite; • Familiarity with or ability to learn e-commerce platforms ShipStation, Swell, and Builder.io; • Self-driven, strong work ethic; • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail; • Exceptional customer service; • Passion for cigars & the cigar industry and willing to learn; • Aptitude to be detail-oriented and process work in a timely manner; • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team; • Strong written and verbal customer-facing communication skills; • Desire to contribute creatively to various marketing and media efforts; • Knowledge of SEO best practices and basic HTML; • Valid license (we need someone who can drive); • Ability to bend, push, and lift 25 pounds regularly
