Framatome is seeking an Engineer to join our I&C Engineering in our Mansfield, Massachusetts office.  This position is responsible for implementing software and hardware solutions using various platforms such as the Triconex PLC, Foxboro DCS and Wonderware InTouch as well as PLCs such as Modicon.  Under general supervision, this position performs varied and more difficult engineering tasks requiring application of established techniques and procedures. Assignments involve responsibility for planning/conducting a complete task or portion of a larger project under direction of more experienced staff.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Develop I&C solutions for nuclear plant areas. Develop and implement control solutions using various platforms and configurators.
• Software application development and software solutions using standard products such as Triconex, Foxboro DCS, Modicon and WonderWare. Development of Software Design documents, Requirements documents, and Test Specifications
• Define control solutions for I&C projects based on customer requirements and product specifications 
• Implement control strategies using control configurators for various DCS and PLCs (i.e TriStaion, Foxboro Control Editor, WonderWare InTouch, etc).
• Define control system architecture solutions for I&C projects based on customer requirements 
• Prepare detailed application, system, and hardware specifications based on client requirements. 
• Solve a range of straightforward problems, analyze solutions and assess each using standard procedures. 
• Ensure compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards. 
• Participate in plant site work - start-up and commissioning 
• Perform other related duties and tasks, as required.

ALL CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.  CANDIDATES WHO EXCEED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS MAY BE CONSIDERED FOR A HIGHER LEVEL POSITION.

• ENGINEER II:  BS in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Computer or equivalent) plus 2-3 years of related engineering experience.
• ENGINEER III:  BS in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Computer or equivalent) plus 3-5 years of related engineering experience.

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE DESIRED AND WILL BE USED TO DIFFERENTIATE ALL CANDIDATES WHO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.

• Experience with control systems such as DCSs, PLCs and Human Machine Interfaces.
• Knowledge of Triconex, Foxboro DCS and WonderWare
• Experience with 3rd party interfaces and standard industry communication protocols.
• Nuclear Industry experience or other regulated industry
• Process Control experience
• Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships with all levels of staff and management.
• Good problem identification and problem resolution skills;

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Operate computer on a continual basis and communicate with various levels of the organization.
• Good Eyesight (with or without glasses)

TRAVEL: Up to 20% travel
