Art Classes will be organized and taught through the Moab Arts Department; positions are part-time and class-based.
We are currently hiring instructors to teach between the months of July-December 2024. Proposed classes and workshops can be for any age and any skill level, beginner through expert. Classes specifically for kids, teens, and seniors are desired. Classes can range from single-session weeknight offerings to multi-week intensives. Seasoned and new instructors are welcome to reach out with their ideas.
General Purpose
Teachers will perform a variety of duties associated with giving instruction for continuing education classes in accordance with Moab Arts & Recreation Center's mission, policies, and goals.
Reporting Relationships
Supervision Received: Instructors work under the general supervision of the Arts Director.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
The Instructor normally works in a safe, climate-controlled environment. Tasks may entail muscular strain, including walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, and lifting. Talking, hearing, and seeing are essential to performing job requirements. Common eye, hand and finger dexterity are required for most essential functions.
Selection Guidelines
Formal application, current resume, and interview with Arts Director. A sample of past work or syllabus may be requested, if applicable. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen test. Subject to background and criminal investigation.
