The civic education department within the Indiana Bar Foundation organizes, promotes, and develops programs and professional development trainings for teachers.     **Job Overview
    ** The Civic Education Program Coordinator will assist with the execution of the Indiana Bar Foundation’s civic education programs and initiatives, including but not limited to We the People, High School Mock Trial, US Senate Youth Program, Indiana Kids Election, and Indiana Legislative Youth Advisory Council. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a passion for civic involvement. This is a 40-hour/week position, occasionally requiring evening or weekend hours. Travel around the state is required with some national travel possible.

    Key **Responsibilities
    ** Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Assist with the planning, execution, and evaluation of the civic education programs and professional development activities, ensuring timely delivery of key objectives.
    • Coordinate event logistics with venues, vendors, local partners, schools, volunteers, and other stakeholders on approximately 20-25 events annually.
    • Create registration forms and post-event surveys, reserve hotel rooms, place catering orders, and prepare and assemble event materials.
    • Schedule meetings for the Civics Coalition and Mock Trial Rules and Case Committees, prepare meeting materials, and take minutes.
    • Assist with recruiting and communicating with volunteers, and researching and attending activity fairs at universities, law schools, and volunteer fairs across the state.
    • Monitor and update volunteer information in Salesforce and create reports to target volunteers.
    • In consultation with the marketing team, prepare content for outreach and volunteer recruitment through the website, newsletter, social media, and other marketing strategies.
    • Provide support in tracking program metrics and identifying areas of improvement to reach program and organizational goals.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Demonstrated relevant work or education experience.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities with precision and efficiency.
    • Strong attention to detail, ability to track sensitive deadlines, and to professionally respond to and resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Evidence of interpersonal skills and commitment to superior customer service to engage successfully with a wide range of constituents.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Canva, Zoom, and project management software.
    • Commitment to the Indiana Bar Foundation’s mission and a high level of dedication to expand opportunities for teachers and students served by the organization.

    **Salary and Benefits
    ** This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $40,000. Salary for this position is commensurate with education and job experience. The Foundation offers a comprehensive benefits package, including insurance premium coverage for medical, dental, vision, and long-term disability, employer HSA contributions, 10% employer 401(k) contributions, and three weeks paid time off.
