Position Duties and Responsibilities - Civil Design Engineer - EIT:
- Ability to work independently and with others, with a minimum level of supervision.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for client contact.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
- Knowledge and high degree of skill in determining project requirements, setting the project scope of work, determining design budgets, determining preliminary construction budgets, and review of contracts.
- Ability to complete projects on time and on budget while meeting project goals.
- High degree of understanding and ability to communicate and coordinate with other Division and members of the Design Team.
- Aware of and able to comply with the overall project construction and design budget, schedule, and contract requirements.
- Prepare Engineers Opinion of probability cost for responsible section of work.
- Incorporate / adapt / develop schematic design and design development work with project team to produce final construction documents.
- Incorporate, create and/or supervise the creation of the project basis of design criteria for use by the design team.
- Perform quality control reviews at appropriate milestones.
- Coordinate team members to achieve project goals and schedules.
- Produce computerized calculations and equipment selections.
- Write, edit, and coordinate contract specifications.
- Incorporate design concepts and documents from schematic design information.
- Conduct field survey to document existing conditions.
Qualifications - Civil Design Engineer - EIT:
- Minimum of a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college is required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
- Has passed Fundamentals of Engineering exam (FE/EIT)
- Preferred Professional Engineering Licensure in the location of practice.
*Base salary listed will be accompanied by bonus potential and straight time pay over 40 hours/week.
