    Job Description

    AECOM’s Water Business Line is actively seeking a Civil Engineer IV. The successful candidate will work with Project Managers and other technical disciplines on all project phases to deliver a variety of water, wastewater, stormwater, and resiliency projects.     The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to

    • Planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services and will include activities focused on design of municipal water/wastewater, stormwater, and resiliency projects.
    • Senior technical resource; may serve as technical advisor for the team.
    • Communicates project tasks between offices – high level of coordination and communication skills required.
    • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
    • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.
    • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
    • Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
    • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
    • Prepares technical specification sections.
    • Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
    • Overseeing construction phase engineering services.
    • Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
    • Experience as Professional Engineer in municipal water/wastewater and stormwater infrastructure engineering design projects.
    • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida.
    • Valid Driver’s License and must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
    • Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals.
    • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audience.
    • Positive attitude, good aptitude, and strong initiative will integrate well with our existing group of outstanding professionals.
    • Experience in construction phase services.
    • Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully work with diverse teams.
    • Demonstrated proven track record of leading technical engineering and successfully managing water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
