About the Job
Our organization is seeking a talented Civil Engineer with 3-6 years of land development design experience to join our dynamic team in Salisbury, MD. We are looking for a motivated self-starter to contribute to a diverse range of projects in the commercial, residential, and institutional sectors, primarily within Maryland, with opportunities to work in surrounding Mid-Atlantic states. While experience in Maryland is preferred, it is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute comprehensive civil site design tasks, including site layout, land grading, stormwater management, roadway and utility infrastructure, and sediment and erosion control.
- Develop CAD drawings, layouts, and production plans that adhere to local codes and standards, ensuring high-quality output and compliance.
- Prepare detailed stormwater management reports, including calculations for ESDv, drainage area delineation, runoff analysis, storm drain flows, HGLs, suitability reports, and cost estimates, along with other technical documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and regulatory agency reviewers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Manage permit processing and submittals with local and state agencies, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
- Communicate project status, workflow priorities, and any challenges to the project team to align with overall project goals.
- Assist in preparing proposals for new projects and provide guidance and training to junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
- Experience with HydroCAD, TR-55, and Maryland Stormwater Management Design and computation is preferred.
- Registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated technical excellence in civil engineering principles and practices.
- Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
