    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Seattle, Washington.

    Job Responsibilities:

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Undertaking design activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, coastal DOD facilities, coastal defense, and development schemes
    • Civil design for terminals across the United States
    • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings
    • Independently prepare engineering related calculations and develop civil technical specifications, plans, and details
    • Uses computer software as a tool for solving engineering problems
    • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule
    • Provides guidance to entry level engineers
    • Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Professional Engineer Registration with the ability to attain a Washington State Professional Engineer Registration within 6 months

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s Degree plus 5 years of related experience
    • Experience with computer aided design (AutoCAD)
    • Experience with ArcGIS
    • Preferred experience with Ports and Marine
    • Experience in the design of marine terminals, naval facilities, and port facilities
    • Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive
