    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a talented **Civil Engineer -Transit & Rail **to join our World Class Rail Team in Boston, MA. Here you will serve as technical resource and will be part of a multidisciplinary team required to deliver complicated passenger rail and transit facilities, including bus, track, systems, structures, tunnels, stations, and potentially maintenance and storage facilities and/or capacity expansion.     Responsibilities & typical duties;

    • Will provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

    • Will develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.

    • Will participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.

    • Will develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.

    • Will use expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.

    • Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
      prepare technical specification sections.

    • Will provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

    Minimum Requirements

    • BA/BS + 6 years in Civil Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and /or education.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • PE or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of start.
