    Job Description

    Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Estimator to provide estimates and cost consulting and meet client objectives through the delivery of an effective cost management service for our key technology client.

    The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional who specializes in heavy civil and utilities projects which include development of resources such as Substations, Overhead Power Lines, Water and Gas Pipelines, and Roads for Data Center or relatable construction projects.

    Responsibilities :

    • Developing cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design.
    • Supporting Client land acquisitions and site preparation work.
    • Delivering and presenting updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones.
    • Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologies and prepare estimates within appropriate accuracy levels.
    • Understanding design stages and estimate levels.
    • Providing commercial input to design optioneering and input into value engineering exercises.
    • Preparing cash commit forecasts for the construction life cycle.
    • Working collaboratively with stakeholders in the preparation of estimates/ cost plans.
    • Analyzing labor markets and cost drivers such as Unions & Tax.
    • Supporting our Client’s with monthly presentations.
    • Delivering Life Cycle Costing models.
    • Benchmarking integration to ensure accurate data capture.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Good technical experience estimating all phases of construction projects; pre-contract, post contract and final account.
    • Experience working on large-scale Data Center projects which include development of resources such as Substations, Overhead Power Lines, Water and Gas Pipelines, and Roads.
    • Demonstrate solid presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office, G Suite AutoCAD Navisworks, and/or other related computer software.
    • Good organization skills, ability to multi-task, and be a team player.
    • Experience with advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
    • College degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience estimating large-scale construction projects.
