    Chandler & Dudgeon LLC is a civil litigation firm in downtown Charleston that is seeking an attorney. Applicants should have at least 4 years of experience, with experience in defense litigation preferred. This position provides opportunities to handle matters independently, work with a team, and grow a practice in a small firm environment. Candidates should be clear and effective communicators, proficient in legal research and writing, and experienced in managing litigation files. Responsibilities: Responsibilities will encompass all facets of case management and trial preparation, including but not limited to the following: • Direct client interaction and meetings • Developing strategic approaches to advocate for clients vigorously • Drafting motions, pleadings, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other legal documents • Managing all aspects of litigation, including contested hearings • Ensuring the timely management and completion of case deadlines • Acting as a thorough analyst, collaborator, and executor of trial strategies to meet client objectives • Conducting legal research and drafting motions and briefs Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and in good standing with South Carolina Bar • Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience • Strong knowledge of civil procedure, legal research, and case management • Excellent research, analytical, and negotiation skills • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Proven track record of successfully managing litigation cases through trial Compensation: $95,000 to $115,000 + performance incentives
