Job Summary:
The Civil Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the construction of civil structures in large-scale photovoltaic plant projects. This includes supervising the construction of foundations, roads, platforms, and other essential structures. The Civil Supervisor will ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with the plans, technical specifications, and local regulations, while also complying with environmental requirements. Additionally, the Civil Supervisor will manage the quality control of materials, site safety, and coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure the effective progress of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
· Construction Supervision: Ensure that civil structures, such as foundations and roads, are constructed according to plans, technical specifications, and the highest quality standards during the construction phase.
· On-Site Safety: Implement and supervise safety practices in all civil construction activities, ensuring compliance with occupational and environmental safety regulations.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities comply with local regulations, environmental standards, and any other applicable laws.
· Quality Control: Verify that materials used in the construction meet the required quality standards and manage quality control processes throughout all project stages.
· Coordination with Contractors and Suppliers: Coordinate daily activities with contractors and material suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of resources and compliance with the project schedule.
· Progress Management: Maintain detailed records of the construction progress and produce regular reports on the project status, identifying potential risks and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
Education and Certification Requirements:
· Academic Background: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related fields. Technical certifications in renewable energy plant construction are a plus.
· Professional Certification: Holding a Professional Engineer (PE) license is valued, technical course, associate degree, as well as OSHA safety certifications.
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising civil construction projects, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or photovoltaic plants. Experience in ensuring compliance with local and environmental regulations is essential.
· Technical Knowledge: Extensive experience in civil construction, focusing on foundations, platforms, roads, and other key infrastructures for solar energy projects. The ability to interpret plans and technical specifications is critical.
Spanish speaking would be a plus, but not required.
Work Schedule:
· Full-time, with availability to address off-hours demands, particularly during critical project phases.
· Availability for frequent travel depending on project needs at different photovoltaic plant construction sites.
