_1099 PRO. INC IS LOOKING FOR A CLARION APPLICATION DEVELOPER.  _

A 1099 Pro Application Developer works to maintain 1099 Pro’s existing software product line and also develops new products and services. Clarion Developers work with the Clarion development language, developed by SoftVelocity, for our desktop software products and Microsoft .Net for our web-based solutions – all of which require familiarity with MSSQL. Additionally, a Clarion Application Developer will also help investigate and find the root cause of software issues that are escalated by the 1099 Pro technical support team

POSITION OVERVIEW / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Clarion 10+ IDE (primary responsibility)
• Work with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
• Write SQL queries for MSSQL
• Work with Microsoft Visual Studio C#/VB, ASP.Net Web Forms & MVC
• Develop both desktop and web-based/SaaS applications
• Work with an Agile team of application developers
• Support existing software products and develop new ones

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• 7+ years experience with software development
• 3+ years experience with the Clarion programming language
• TopScan\TPS File Database Experience
• SetupBuilder Experience
• Clarion Application Network Deployments
• Secure Coding Practices
• Clarion 3rd Party Tool Integration
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work and development experience
• Intermediate knowledge of writing SQL queries for MSSQL
• Familiar with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, & Excel)
• Acceptable written and oral communication skills for technical audiences
• Friendly, positive, and patient demeanor
• Detail-oriented
• Must pass a background check

SUPPLEMENTARY EXPERIENCE (NOT REQUIRED):

• Experience with C#/VB
• Familiar with Microsoft IIS
• Informational tax reporting (1099, W-2, 1042-S, FATCA)
• Software support and/or quality assurance testing of software
