  • Responsibilities

    Class A Drivers fresh out of driving school looking to start their career are being requested to apply. You will start going out with a trainer running OTR making deliveries in 53' Dry Van Trailers. After training you will be running locally and home daily running in Alabama and Georgia on a Dedicated Account.

    Job Details

    • Running lane is from Opelika to Atlanta, Birmingham, and South Georgia.
    • Mix between 53' dry van and 53' refer trailers.
    • Drivers will run 4-6 weeks behind the wheel with a trainer OTR then go on their own.
    • Trainees must be willing to run OTR for the training period.
    • Daily home time
    • Option for a 5-day or 6-day work week
    • The driver must be willing to drive during the day or during the night.
    • Miles per week range from 1200-1800 miles.

    Pay/Benefits

    • Trainees are paid $650/week until their 250-300 hours behind the wheel are met (4-6 weeks)
    • 5-day work week pay - .46 per mile, $10 per stop, $30 short haul pay (1-40 miles) with ,04 night and weekend pay differential. ($800 - $1200 week)
    • 6-day work week pay - .49 per mile, $10 first stop, $15 after. $40 short haul pay (1-40 miles) with .05 night and weekend pay differential. ($1300-$1550 week)
    • $20 per hour detention pay after the first 2 hours.
    • .06 per mile monthly bonus for over 9200 miles driven, no accidents, fuel at 7 MPG.
    • Full benefits that kick in after 30 days including medical, dental, 401K and PTO

    Requirements

    • Must have attended and graduated from an accredited truck driving school with at least 120 hours.
    • Must be 21 with Valid Class A CDL
    • Must have a fairly clean driving record with no major accidents, major tickets, or suspensions within the past 5 years.
    • Cannot have been terminated from last job.
    • No DUI's Felonies, Misdemeanors in the last 5 years. Safety to review all criminal offenses.
    • Must have solid 10-year work history with no major gaps of employment outside of school or training. 6 months in the last year or 1 year in the last 3 years max.
    • Must be able to pass a Urine AND HAIR pre-employment drug screen
    • Must live within 40 miles of Opelika, AL
