    The Role

    We are seeking a skilled and responsible Class A Driver to join our Logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a Class A license, forklift certification, and a strong commitment to safety and timely deliveries.

    Responsibilities

    • Driving Various Vehicles:

      • Operate Class A semi-trucks, trucks with trailers, and box trucks to transport goods to home sites in residential neighborhoods.
      • Navigate large trailers through residential neighborhoods and other challenging environments.
    • Forklift Operation:

      • Utilize forklifts for loading and unloading cargo as needed.
      • Maintain a valid forklift certification and adhere to safety protocols during forklift operations.
    • Timely Deliveries:

      • Ensure on-time deliveries by planning routes, managing time efficiently, and adapting to changing traffic conditions.
      • Communicate effectively with dispatch to provide real-time updates on delivery status.
    • Close Following and Communication:

      • Follow vehicles closely to maximize fuel efficiency while maintaining safety.
      • Communicate with other drivers and team members to coordinate activities and share relevant information.
    • Equipment Maintenance:

      • Take ownership of assigned equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
      • Perform routine inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
    • Issue Escalation:

      • Identify and escalate any issues or challenges that may impact delivery schedules.
      • Collaborate with dispatch and other relevant teams to resolve problems efficiently.

    Qualifications

    • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
    • Forklift certification with hands-on experience.
    • Proven experience driving semi-trucks, trucks with trailers, and box trucks.
    • Ability to navigate large vehicles through residential areas and urban environments.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide real-time updates on delivery status.
    • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery schedules.
    • Responsible and safety-conscious with a clean driving record.
