  • Responsibilities

    Class A Drivers fresh out of driving school looking to start their career are being requested to apply. You will start going out with a trainer running OTR making deliveries in 53' Dry Van Trailers. After training you will be running within a 500 mile radius of Chicago, IL.

    Job Details

    • Running lane is 500 miles radius of Chicago, IL.
    • 100% No Touch Dry Van freight
    • Driver will run OTR for 4-6 weeks with training if under 6 months experience.
    • Home weekly on the weekends for at least a 34 hour reset.
    • Mix of drop & hook and live load/unload.
    • Driver must be willing to drive during the day or during the night.
    • Miles a week is 1800 - 2100

    Pay/Benefits

    • Trainees are paid $650/week for 4-6 weeks.
    • .44 - .58 per mile for new drivers on sliding pay scale. Higher for experienced drivers.
    • $40 short haul pay + mileage.
    • $1200 average weekly pay.
    • .06 per mile monthly bonus for over 9200 miles driven, no accidents, fuel at 7 MPG.
    • Full benefits that kick in after 30 days including medical, dental, 401K and PTO

    Requirements

    • Must have attended and graduated from an accredited truck driving school with at least 120 hours.
    • Must live within 300 miles of Gary, IN.
    • Must be 21 with Valid Class A CDL
    • Must have a fairly clean driving record with no major accidents, major tickets, or suspensions within the past 5 years.
    • Cannot have been terminated from last job.
    • No DUI's Felonies, Misdemeanors in the last 5 years. Safety to review all criminal offenses.
    • Must have solid 10-year work history with no major gaps of unemployment.
    • Must be able to pass a Urine AND HAIR pre-employment drug screen.
