Alcalde Inc. is a Contractor Service Provider company for FedEx Ground, in business for over 17 years and continuing to grow. We are looking for dedicated truck Class A drivers to become part of our team.

Responsibilities

Local runs- Home daily - San Diego, CA - Oceanside, CA - Rialto, CA

Run schedules 10:30 P.M -6:30 A.M

Schedules available are based on WEEKEND and WEEKDAY shifts

No touch freight/ Only Drop and Hook is required

Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance

Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving using our e-log software Omnitracs or Trimble.

Input into our automated system Mobile Trip App for each stage of the loading and unloading process

Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures

Collect and verify delivery instructions

Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills

Proven work experience as a truck driver

Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)

Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly

Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations

No recent moving or driving violations

Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

Valid Class A license
