Job Summary
Magone & Company, PC is seeking a talented Accounting Supervisor to join our Client Accounting Services (CAS) Team in our new Parsippany, NJ office. You will help manage our portfolio of clients, working on their full financial picture throughout the year, from entering daily transactions and processing payroll to performing the year-end close with adjusting and closing entries, fixed asset and inventory valuation, preparation of workpapers, payroll adjustments, financial statement preparation, and working with our tax team to help prepare tax projections and business filings.
We prefer a licensed CPA with 2+ years public accounting experience, and at least 3 years handling client accounting services.

Responsibilities
Perform daily/monthly transactional accounting, payroll and reconciliations for clients.
Help lead the Client Accounting Services (CAS) area, working with on-site and remote staff.
Central point of contact with clients for accounting-related work, liaison with Tax and Audit teams.
Process payroll, 1099s, A/P, A/R as needed for some clients.
Prepare and review financial statements.
Prepare the year-end close with workpapers in preparation for tax filings.
Required Qualifications
Degree in Accounting and licensed CPA (or seeking licensure).
3+ years of experience working in client accounting services, controller or similar positions.
2+ years working in a CPA firm with multiple accounting clients.
Demonstrated ability to manage on-site and remote accounting staff.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Extensive experience and expertise in QuickBooks Online and ADP Payroll.
Great with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, and basic accounting systems.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
Additional Qualifications Preferred
Bill.com experience.
Some background in taxation or audit is a plus.
