    Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director with a strong background in pharmaceuticals and healthcare business development. This role is pivotal in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within our existing client base, particularly within the pharmaceutical sector. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in business development or account management within a healthcare marketing agency, with a proven track record in selling, upselling, and account growth specifically in the pharmaceutical industry.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    1. Pharmaceutical Client Growth: Leverage existing relationships within the pharmaceutical industry to expand accounts through effective communication via telephone, email, and social media.
    2. Lead Generation: Follow up on warm leads from marketing activities and proactively research potential prospects within current pharmaceutical clients.
    3. Lead Qualification: Qualify leads and opportunities through in-depth discovery and relationship-building with current pharmaceutical clients.
    4. Pipeline Management: Efficiently manage the prospect pipeline to achieve maximum results, adhering to established sales activity metrics.
    5. Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and services to effectively present solutions to pharmaceutical clients.
    6. Event Coordination: Plan and manage on-site events and marketing activities to engage current pharmaceutical clients and foster new business opportunities.
    7. Collaboration: Work closely with Client Account Directors to enhance and grow existing pharmaceutical client programs, focusing strictly on business development.

    Required Skills and Traits:

    • Communication and Presentation: Exceptional customer service skills with strong listening, verbal, and written communication abilities. Proficient in creating and delivering compelling presentations and proposals tailored to the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Technological Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with sales automation tools, with a preference for HubSpot CRM.
    • Work Style and Productivity: Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in a remote-centric environment.
    • Travel: Willingness and enthusiasm for frequent travel and in-person client interactions within the pharmaceutical sector.

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development or account management within a pharma or healthcare marketing agency, with significant experience in upselling and closing revenue specifically in the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and maintaining customer relationships within the pharmaceutical sector.

    $115,000-$125,000 per year
