The Role
The Client Service Associate will assist in the relationship and management of client's household planning alongside Private Wealth Advisor, Associate Private Wealth Advisor, and/or Private Wealth Service Advisor. This role is responsible for utilizing operational knowledge in risk, investments, and planning to help execute and implement workflow items to achieve client's goals.
Responsibilities of the Role
- Support advising teams in all aspects of client relationship management, including client/household scheduling, servicing, and ensuring client information is correct and consistent.
- Prepare presentation material for client and prospect meetings with high level of attention to detail.
- Attend client meetings to support our advising teams with memorialization of meeting notes and action items.
- Complete all follow up/action items that arise during client interactions, including servicing items and ownership from start-to-finish of all operational procedures.
- Complete periodic internal reviews of managed households/ clients; working to identify areas of opportunity and data inconsistencies to review with our advising teams.
- Exemplify excellent communication skills across multiple business units, working collaboratively towards client goals with key stakeholders.
- Gain an understanding of Northwestern Mutual product selection including risk, wealth, holistic planning, and the integration of all three concepts.
- Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings to share and develop skills and best practices.
- Ad-Hoc project requests as they arise.
What You Will Bring to the Team
- 1-2 years in financial services preferred, experience in financial planning is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent secondary education. Equivalent relevant experience and training may be substituted.
- Colorado Life and Health Insurance Licenses required (or earned within first 30 days of employment)
- Long Term Care License Required (or earned within determined frequency after hire)
- FINRA SIE, Series 6 or 7, and Series 63 Licenses preferred
- Ability to receive, prioritize, and complete workflow items regarding current financial situations and goals.
- Ability to complete analysis, source necessary information from outside business partners, and work alongside the Operations Team to execute assigned tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple business units, sourcing necessary information, and organizing deliverables in a consistent and concise manner.
- High level of attention to detail and detail orientation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle the execution of confidential and time sensitive information.

- Starting salary of $65,000 - $75,000 (contingent on industry experience) + quarterly bonuses
