Client Settlement Specialist
Job Description:
Client Settlement Specialist will work directly with our personal injury attorneys and case managers in a high-volume, fast-paced office environment. The position entails extensive contact with healthcare providers and insurance carriers. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and demonstrate attention to detail and time-management skills. Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills are essential. Individuals must be a team player and place client care as a top priority.
Responsibilities:
- Confirm client account balances with healthcare providers
- Negotiate client account balance reductions
- Draft correspondence and forward settlement payments
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, as well as prioritize work and work under pressure
Requirements:
- High school diploma required. Prefer some college education and/or paralegal certificate
- Previous case management experience with emphasis on personal injury is recommended or related jobs such as paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant at a law firm is preferred
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet presentation, and knowledge of case management software for law firms is a plus
- Self-starter with ability to effectively manage multiple matters at once
- Possess exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral
