JOB TITLE: Clinical Assessment Specialist (PRN position)
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Executive Director and Clinical Director
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform clinical assessments for perspective clients
Complete reassessments for clients needing to remain in the program
Responsible for conducting the initial screening, intake, and diagnostic impression
Completion of the initial treatment plan to identify service needs
Coordinating care with other assigned clinicians, Executive Director and team lead.
As needed, participates in the direct delivery of services that are within his/her area of expertise
Attend staff meetings regularly
Professional training 20 hours per year required. Training hours can include but are not limited to the following: Documentation of Orientation, 6 weeks of individual (clinical), 4 weeks of group, administrative orientation, in-service training, and trainings at other places of employment. Classes taken should all be documented on training form. All other training must be approved by Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an Accredited College or University, one year of experience providing Mental Health Treatment to adults with mental health issues; one year of experience completing assessments. Applicants should possess good clinical documentation skills, experience working with and assessing mental health illnesses, and the ability to work within a fast paced behavioral health crisis environment. Must be Licensed Eligible (LPC, LCSW) in Virginia as supported through registration through the Virginia Department of Health.
