Job Description:
The Clinical Director oversees the clinical operations of residential shelter. Ensuring high-quality mental health and social services are provided. This role requires 2-5 years of experience managing clinical staff, including those with LMSW and other relevant certifications. The Clinical Director will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support clinical staff, including LMSWs and other licensed professionals, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with regulatory standards.
Develop and implement clinical programs and treatment plans tailored to the needs of the shelter’s population.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide mentorship, and facilitate professional development opportunities for clinical team members.
Coordinate with external agencies and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and address client needs effectively.
Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes to ensure the effectiveness of services and make data-driven improvements.
Manage clinical documentation and maintain accurate records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
Participate in shelter leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning and policy development.
Address and resolve client and staff issues, including crisis intervention when necessary.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in social work (MSW), Psychology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a clinical leadership role, with a focus on managing clinical staff.
Licensure as an LMSW or equivalent is required; additional certifications in mental health or related fields are a plus.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of clinical professionals.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and best practices in mental health services.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
