    Our client, a OASAS 822 Outpatient Treatment Program organization, is looking to hire a Clinical Director.

    Under the direction of the CEO, the Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing the delivery of all clinical treatment services at the day treatment center, an OASAS 822 outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program. This role ensures high-quality, evidence-based service delivery, regulatory compliance, and timely documentation of all treatment services, including group therapy, individual counseling, and recovery support.

    The Clinical Director provides direct supervision and guidance to Licensed Clinicians, Counselors, and Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPAs), fostering an environment that encourages individualized treatment and active consumer participation. This role requires strong leadership skills and business development acumen to drive program growth, operational efficiency, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is both a clinical expert and an administrative leader who can ensure regulatory compliance, staff development, and quality imp and quality improvement while also identifying opportunities for program expansion and sustainability.

    Responsibilities:
    Clinical Oversight & Compliance

    • Implement, monitor, and oversee the delivery of outpatient substance use disorder services.
    • Ensure compliance with OASAS regulations, clinic policies, and industry best practices.
    • Conduct regular observations of clinical treatment activities to maintain quality assurance.
    • Oversee referent communications, HRA STARS reporting, and HRA finger imaging verification.
    • Lead utilization reviews, incident management, and quality assurance initiatives.
    • Ensure accurate and confidential clinical record-keeping in accordance with external and internal standards.

    Leadership, Business Development & Program Expansion

    • Provide strategic leadership to enhance program effectiveness and expand service offerings.
    • Identify and implement business development opportunities, including partnerships, funding sources, and innovative treatment models.
    • Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute growth strategies for the treatment center.
    • Monitor program performance metrics and recommend improvements to optimize service delivery and financial sustainability.
    • Represent the clinic at community, industry, and public forums to strengthen relationships and promote the program.

    Staff Supervision & Development

    • Directly supervise Licensed Clinicians, Counselors, and Peers (CRPAs).
    • Conduct regular clinical and administrative meetings with the clinical team.
    • Develop and implement orientation plans for new hires.
    • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for clinical staff.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and review evaluations of all clinical team members.

    Program Leadership & Administration

    • Assist in preparing reports, proposals, and program documentation as required.
    • Assume responsibility for program operations in the CEO’s absence.
    • Lead clinical quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with the CEO.
    • Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.

    Qualifications & Requirements:
    Education & Experience:

    • Master’s degree in a clinical field (e.g., Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Nursing, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling).
    • Minimum three (3) years of clinical or administrative experience in a substance use disorder (SUD) treatment setting.
    • At least one (1) year of experience in a supervisory or administrative role.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical and operational settings.
    • Business development experience, including program expansion, funding acquisition, and strategic planning, strongly preferred.

    Licensure & Certification:

    • Must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional, such as: LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, CRC, Ph.D., MSN, CASAC, or equivalent.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
    • Proven experience in business development, program growth, and financial sustainability.
    • Knowledge of OASAS regulations, evidence-based practices, and clinical treatment models.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including on-call responsibilities

    Salary: $140K
