    Job Summary: The Clinical Director oversees and provides leadership in all aspects of the Outpatient Department and is responsible for the development, management, and operation of clinical services. The Clinical Director provides the leadership and vision required to grow and nurture a system of holistic care, and establish financial prosperity. The Clinical Director may carry a small caseload of clients, with the majority of focus on macro systems.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: The Clinical Director oversees the Outpatient Department and provides direct supervision to the Clinical Supervisor and outpatient therapists; prescribers; the Director of Nursing; and the Treatment Director. Provides supervision and guidance to the Nursing Department and the Substance Use and Recovery program. Duties/Responsibilities: • Responsible for the growth of programs and implementing process improvements through project management. • Prepares annual clinical department budget and monitors budget, billing practices, and department revenue status regularly. • Oversees delivery of all services provided by care providers and ensures staff compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, licenses and/or certification standards for CCBHC and/or other requirements. • Actively participates with MACMHP and is involved with legislative and policy advocacy. • Researches, reviews, writes, approves and enforces policies and procedures to improve day-to-day operations and client experience • Establishes cycle of compliance audits, productivity review and performance management. • Develops ongoing staff development initiatives consistent with licensure requirements and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. • Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to system leaders and is available to explain changes, answer questions and maintain morale. • Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and maintain a system for soliciting customer feedback and following up on grievances, concerns and suggestions. • Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to assess continuous quality improvement measures and access to care. Identifies and tracks desired outcomes and ensures use and compliance of evidence based practices • Establishes and monitors an effective staffing model and ensures efficient use of staffing resources. • Provides direct supervision and guidance to the Clinical Supervisor and assists with onboarding and case consultation • Partners with other department directors to establish and promote a positive, nurturing and thriving workplace culture

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Ability to analyze and develop budgets and implement effective business practices. • Experience developing and managing programs and clinical teams • Experience supervising therapists, both licensed and seeking licensure • Considerable knowledge of evidence based psychotherapy and clinical psychology principles and practices; • Ability to diagnose problems of individuals relating to mental health and prescribe or provide counseling to stabilize or correct perceived problem; • Considerable knowledge of testing procedures used to diagnose mental health problems; • Excellent time management skills, impeccable attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment • Ability to successfully collaborate across inter-agency teams. • Ability to effectively lead a team and manage multiple priorities. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound clinical judgments. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong leadership skills with the ability to make independent decisions within the scope of professional practice • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse ethnic, economic, racial and cultural backgrounds

    Education and Experience: • Licensed as LMFT, LICSW or LPCC in State of MN. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical mental health services. • Two years of clinical supervisory experience preferred.
