    Who we are looking for: A Clinical Psychologist with competency in providing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, experience working with a pediatric, adolescent, and young adult population, and a special interest in Autism assessment. The ideal candidate will help set up a program to conduct child and adolescent diagnostic evaluations, evaluate results and deliver treatment recommendations to families as part of a clinically excellent program.

    Major Responsibilities / Activities

    Complete psychiatric assessment on child & adolescent patient

    Conduct psychosocial evaluations and provide therapeutic interventions including crisis counseling child & adolescent patients and their families as needed to facilitate behavioral health clinical care management.

    Determine an evaluation plan that would address the referral questions, which may include diagnostic questions, treatment recommendations, and/or needs for special education accommodations

    Administer, score, and interpret psychological measures

    Write a thorough testing report to explain the results of the evaluation

    Provide feedback to the client regarding the results of the evaluation, and, if requested, coordinate with other providers to share the testing results

    Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in our community

    Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals

    Required/Preferred Education and Experience

    Candidates are required to be licensed and credentialed to practice in the state of Virginia

    Have a clinical or counseling Psychology Doctorate from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program and must have completed an APA-approved clinical psychology internship.

    Experience with completing psychological evaluations

    Familiarity with working with/within school systems and familiarity with the IEP/504 Process Ability to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents in a timely manner
