    Job Summary

    The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the clinical services provided by Qualified Mental Health Professionals within the community mental health agency. They provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to ensure that services are delivered effectively and in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and ethical standards. The Clinical Supervisor also conducts intakes and assessments for potential clients referred for services and participates in program development, quality improvement activities, and staff training to enhance the overall quality of care the agency provides. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of person-centered care, managing caseloads, and strong interpersonal skills to manage a team.

    Responsibilities

    Provide clinical supervision to Qualified Mental Health Professionals, including case consultation, clinical oversight, and guidance on complex cases.

    Ensure that clinical services are delivered in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and ethical standards, including the provision of culturally competent care.

    Conduct regular case reviews and clinical audits to monitor the quality of care provided and identify areas for improvement.

    Participate in program development activities, including the design and implementation of new services or interventions to meet the needs of clients.

    Collaborate with other agency staff and community providers, including psychiatrists, care coordinators, physicians, and case managers, to coordinate care and ensure that clients receive comprehensive services.

    Provide staff training and professional development opportunities to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.

    Assist in the orientation of new clinical staff.

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.

    Participate in meetings, committees, and other activities to support the overall functioning of the agency.

    Perform other duties as assigned by the agency director or clinical leadership team.

    Qualifications

    Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field.

    Licensed or license-eligible as a clinical social worker, professional counselor, psychologist, or related mental health professional.

    Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in providing mental health services, with at least one year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.

    Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health treatment and experience working with diverse populations.

    Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

    Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with other professionals.
